Well it’s been a hectic summer – weddings, holidays, music & beer festivals – and my blog has been sadly neglected 😦 So to remedy this, and get us in the mood for some serious off-season blogging, here is the cracking – and very exhausting – 3 set playlist from my latest wedding at a superb venue in one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Forget Bride/Groomzillas, this couple were one of the most chilled out I have had the pleasure to play for. They had requested 3 hours of music during their vin d’honneur and charcuterie board wedding breakfast – a truly fantastic idea for such a hot summer- and we quickly settled on an hour of jolly mixed repertoire for the champagne reception, followed by an hour of smooth classics and laid back love songs during the meal, with some contemporary pop & show tunes to finish. At the request of the Groom, I even managed to squeeze in ‘Happy Birthday To You’ for one of the guests!

I don’t mind admitting it was hard work in the plus 30°C heat, but Peter from the venue made sure I was installed under a handy large willow tree, and I had remembered to bring my electric fan to keep me cool. Summer wedding essentials…
