Allow me to introduce myself – I am an English-speaking, classically trained solo ‘cellist providing bespoke entertainment for wedding ceremonies, receptions and special events across Haute-Vienne (Limousin), North Dordogne (Perigord Vert) & Charente. I cover all genres from classical, opera & baroque to jazz, film & theatre music & Broadway showtunes. What sets me apart from other classical ensembles? My repertoire also contains a large proportion of classic and contemporary love songs, and if the song you love is not already on my list, I will arrange it for you free of charge! Oh, and I hardly ever wear black…

Your favourite songs arranged for free

As a composer/arranger/producer I am delighted to be able to offer you the unique opportunity to have up to three of your favourite songs arranged for ‘cello & accompaniment for no additional charge. I can also record and upload samples to my website in advance of the wedding so you can preview the arrangements, practice walking down the aisle, etc… I have even accompanied a Bride who wanted to sing her vows!

You don’t like classical music

Don’t like classical music? No problem, not everyone does. In fact, as I deal with a large proportion of young couples, I quite often play no traditionally ‘classical’ music at all. I have an extensive repertoire of pop songs, love songs, film and theatre music, and Broadway musical and show tunes, and I am always adding current songs to my list. Latest additions include, ‘All of Me’ by John Legend, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and Bruno Mars ‘Just The Way You Are.’ Please e-mail me for an up-to-date repertoire list.

You just don’t know what music to choose

Don’t really know what music you would like? You have come to exactly the right place! Just tell me your favourite artists, songs or shows and I will help by suggesting different options for you. And I will always advise you, honestly, as to whether your crazy ideas might just work arranged for ‘cello. (They always have so far.) But if they don’t we will find a way to incorporate them into the day anyway…

You have a really broad musical taste

Do you want to create different moods throughout your day? With my broad repertoire you could have beautiful French classics before your ceremony, jazz and showtunes for your cocktails and film and popular music for your reception. Or, mix it up a bit and let me produce a unique ‘mixed tape’ playlist just for you.

You have a very small venue; or a very large one…

Are you holding your ceremony in a church or chapel, or a small, intimate venue? Being a solo performer I am extremely versatile – I can play acoustically for venues such as a chapel, church or other venue without a music licence, or with backing and amplification for outdoor or larger venues. Or both. I have the additional advantage of taking up very little space whatever the venue! I can follow you from church to reception, and also relocate around the wedding venue easily and quickly – from welcome drinks to ceremony, to cocktails, to dining room or marquee…

You have specific ideas about your music

I offer a range of wedding packages covering welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktails and reception, or for an intimate evening do, welcome meal or rehearsal dinner. Each package can be adapted to suit your exact requirements. Packages start from €350, including travel to the whole of the Perigord Vert region, Limoges and Angoulême, and I can travel further for an additional charge.

You want to choose how to pay

I am fully registered to work in France, both as an Auto-Entrepreneur and with GUSO, and I will be happy to provide SIRET and GUSO numbers on request. Payment can be made by International Bank (SEPA) Transfer, PayPal, or by French cheque (in Euros). A €100 deposit secures the booking. I will provide a signed ‘Devis’ (quote) on request, and bilingual invoices.

I have over 20 years experience playing in Symphony Orchestras, Chamber Groups & ensembles, have played here in France at Michelin-starred restaurants & fairytale chateaux venues for International clients from five continents, including the US, UK & Ireland, to Sweden, Australia, Brazil & Japan, and am extremely proud to include Catholic, Jewish and same-sex couples among my clientele.

In short, I will work closely with you as a couple to find the music that you love in order to create the perfect musical accompaniment to your Big Day, tailor-made to your musical tastes and preferences. I will even colour co-ordinate to match your theme. No boring concert black, unless you are having Black Tie of course…
